This editorial portrays a body that continues to function while slowly losing contact with its emotional dimension. There is no dystopian future and no hostile technology: everything happens now. Technology is the environment the body lives in, works in, moves through without questioning it anymore. The conflict is not between human and machine, but internal: a body that is connected yet absent, efficient yet emptied, present without real involvement. Alienation is not dramatic. It is everyday. Silent. Accepted.
Fashion becomes a second skin that regulates rather than expresses. The garments do not speak of identity, but of function. They contain the body, protect it, and create distance from feeling. Yet something resists. In a minimal gesture, in a posture that hesitates, in the contact between fabric and skin.
Perhaps the final act of resistance is not disconnecting, but remembering that there is a body inside the system.
