For years, I made sacrifices in pursuit of my dream to work in the fashion industry. This led me to let others dictate my time, to suppress my creativity and self-expression, and to become extremely consumeristic. I bought things I didn’t need, did things I didn’t want to do, and most of all, I tried to fill that emptiness of dissatisfaction with objects and distractions that only led to more pain. These past three months have been among the most transformative of my life because I’ve realized what I truly need: my baggage.
Our baggage is what silently travels with us. It’s made of experiences, passions, and desires, the invisible weight of everything that has shaped us. It doesn’t hold us back but it defines our path and reminds us who we are.
Truly inspired by the beautiful work of John Galliano for the SS 2024 Artisanal collection, which will forever influence my artistic vision in fashion.
